DAVID P. BUTLER
David Butler's law practice focuses on toxic exposure recovery law and environmental litigation, seeking remediation for clients who have been personally injured or suffered property damage due to air, soil, or water contamination.
Additionally, David serves as the Cahaba Riverkeeper (since 2015) and the Riverkeeper's Staff Attorney (since 2018). As the Cahaba Riverkeeper, David’s responsibilities include overseeing the successful Swim Guide program, organizing river cleanups, responding to pollution complaints, managing data collection efforts, and speaking to concerned citizen and civic groups. As the Staff Attorney, David pursues remediation against environmental violators on behalf of the Riverkeepers and the citizens of Alabama.
David studied finance at the University of Kentucky, before moving on to work in the financial research industry in New York. After several years, David returned to the south and enrolled at the University of Alabama where he received a degree in Journalism. He completed his J.D. at the Birmingham School of Law in 2018.
