Driving on America’s highways and interstates these days can be a harrowing feat.

Avoiding speeding or distracted drivers is one thing, but sharing the road and navigating around commercial 18-wheelers, dump trucks and buses is an art. Drivers of passenger vehicles can educate themselves and try to protect themselves and their passengers on the often-scary roads.

As of mid-July this year, there have already been 25 deaths and 68 boating-related accidents.
