W. JACOB BRUNER
Originally from Headland, Alabama, William Jacob Bruner was born to a multi-generational family of educators, ranging from elementary teachers to university professors. With that foundation, Jacob has sought to be in a position to serve those around the state of Alabama. In doing so, Jacob represents those who have been injured at the hands of others, and will fight for justice in the courtroom. Throughout his time in law school to now, Jacob has solely worked for plaintiffs and will continue to do so.
While at the Cumberland School of Law, Jacob served in various roles in student government, and competed on the Cumberland Negotiation team and the Cumberland Arbitration team. Jacob also competed in the Transatlantic Negotiation Competition, where he and his teammates honed their negotiation skills against various law schools around the globe. He remains committed to the advancement of advocacy, both in the courtroom and out of it.
Jacob attended Troy University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He received his J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. Jacob resides in Homewood, Alabama, with his wife, Lucy, and their dog, Moka. When not working or with his family, Jacob finds time to go backpacking around the world, and is an avid outdoorsman.
